Version 2 — MVP

Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Definitions & Interpretation document.

Purpose

This policy explains how pickup, delivery, and freight-related issues are handled on the platform.

It exists to: clarify responsibility at each stage of transport; define evidence requirements; align platform processes with third-party freight provider terms; and prevent disputes arising from unclear logistics expectations.

This policy operates in conjunction with the terms and conditions of the selected freight provider and does not replace or override them.

1. Platform Role

The platform facilitates freight booking through integrated third-party providers, passes freight charges through to buyers (inclusive of a platform margin), and coordinates information flow between buyer, seller, and carrier where required.

The platform is not a freight carrier, a freight insurer, or a party to the physical transport contract.

All freight services are provided by third-party carriers under their own terms and conditions.

2. Pickup Orders (No Freight)

Where a buyer selects pickup, the buyer (or their agent) is responsible for inspecting the goods prior to loading and accepting condition and quantity at pickup.

Risk transfers to the buyer once goods are collected.

No disputes relating to condition, damage, or quantity will be accepted after pickup.

3. Delivered Orders (Freight)

Where delivery is selected, freight is arranged via a third-party carrier selected through the platform.

Freight pricing, transit times, access requirements, and liability are governed by the carrier's published terms.

Risk transfers to the buyer upon delivery, subject to the inspection and dispute timeframes defined under platform policies.

4. Seller Responsibilities (At Dispatch)

Before goods are collected by the carrier, the seller must: ensure goods match the published listing; package or bundle goods in a manner reasonably suitable for transport; make goods accessible as declared (e.g. forklift-ready if required); and take clear photographs at the point of loading, showing overall condition, packaging or strapping, and quantity dispatched.

Failure to provide loading photographs may limit the seller's ability to contest freight damage claims.

5. Carrier Responsibilities

The freight provider is responsible for transport of goods from pickup to delivery, handling in accordance with their own terms, and documenting delivery where required.

Any claims relating to transit damage, loss, delay, or access issues are subject to the freight provider's terms and claims processes.

6. Buyer Responsibilities (At Delivery)

Upon delivery, the buyer (or their agent) must: inspect goods as soon as reasonably practicable; take photographs showing overall condition, packaging condition, and any visible damage; and raise any freight-related issues within the required timeframe.

Failure to inspect and document condition at delivery may limit available remedies.

7. Freight Damage Claims

Where goods are damaged in transit, the issue is classified as Damage in Transit.

The platform will collect evidence from buyer and seller, assist with information exchange, and facilitate referral to the freight provider's claims process.

The platform does not guarantee claim outcomes and does not insure freight.

Refunds or compensation for freight damage are governed by the carrier's terms.

8. Freight Costs & Returns

Outbound Freight — Freight charges are non-refundable once delivery has occurred, except where required by law or carrier policy.

Return Freight — Return freight may occur only in limited circumstances, including seller-at-fault misdescription (as defined in the Seller Returns & Remedies Policy). In such cases, return freight is arranged through the platform, costs are funded via the platform's protection mechanism, and seller payouts (or future payouts) may be reduced or offset accordingly.

Buyer-initiated returns (buyer error) require the buyer to pay return freight.

9. Access, Delays & Failed Deliveries

Buyers are responsible for ensuring accurate delivery addresses, suitable site access, and availability to receive goods.

Additional costs arising from failed deliveries, re-delivery, waiting time, or restricted access are borne by the buyer in accordance with the carrier's terms.

10. Priority of Terms

In the event of inconsistency: freight provider terms govern physical transport and liability; platform policies govern dispute eligibility and remedies; seller and buyer acknowledgements govern acceptance of risk.

11. Finality

The platform's role is limited to coordination and policy enforcement.

Freight outcomes are subject to carrier assessment, evidence quality, and applicable law.

Platform decisions regarding remedies remain final.
