How Nodus works
A straightforward marketplace for surplus and off-spec timber. Here's what to expect whether you're buying or selling.
The problem we solve
Every timber mill produces surplus, downfall, overruns, and off-spec products. Stock that doesn't meet a specific order, short ends, colour variations, cosmetic defects, cancelled runs — it all adds up.
Traditionally, this stock is sold through word of mouth, written off, or left to deteriorate. Buyers who could use it — manufacturers, furniture makers, builders, trades — often don't know it exists.
Nodus connects these two sides. Sellers list surplus stock with honest, detailed disclosure. Buyers browse and purchase with the confidence that every listing has been reviewed, payments are held in escrow, and disputes are handled fairly against the published listing.
The result: sellers recover value from stock that would otherwise be wasted, and buyers access suitable timber at competitive prices.
Browse and filter
Search active listings by species, use case, dimensions, and price. Every listing is reviewed by the platform before publication, so what you see has been checked for completeness and alignment with listing policy.
Review the listing
Each listing includes species, dimensions, quantities, defect disclosures, photographs, and a clear reason why the product is being sold as surplus or off-spec. Read carefully — disclosed defects are not grounds for dispute.
Choose pickup or delivery
Select pickup to collect from the seller's location, or delivery for a freight quote calculated instantly through our integrated carrier network. Freight pricing is shown at checkout.
Pay securely
Payment is collected at checkout and held by the platform. Your money is not released to the seller until the dispute window closes. For delivery orders, a buyer protection fee applies (3% of goods value, $5–$50).
Receive and inspect
For deliveries, inspect goods on arrival and, if required, photograph anything of material difference to the advertised listing. For pickups, inspect before loading. You have 24 hours from delivery or pickup confirmation to raise a dispute if the product materially differs from the listing.
Dispute resolution (if needed)
If something isn't right, raise a dispute within the 24-hour window with photographs and a reference to the listing. The seller has 2 business days to respond. If unresolved, the platform reviews evidence and determines the outcome — partial refund, return, or full refund where appropriate.
